Rotational Use of Multi-Diameter Mantles

Thicker concaves forged from long-lasting wear-resistant alloys often have a service life two, three, or even four times longer than standard mantles. To maintain consistent product sizing throughout the concave’s lifespan, Shengda Machine provides mantles in a range of diameter options. Many of our customers now implement a “ready-spindle” system: keeping multiple complete mainshaft assemblies on hand, each fitted with a mantle of a different diameter, to enable fast, on-demand changeovers.
