1. Metal Shredder Hammers (Critical Impact Components)

Shredder hammers are the workhorses of the machine, transferring the massive kinetic energy of the rotating rotor to metal scrap for size reduction. Shengda offers all four industry-standard hammer styles, each optimized for specific scrap types and processing requirements:

2. Pin Protectors (Rotor & Pin Protection)

Pin protectors play a dual role in shredder performance: they shield the long retaining pins that secure hammers to the rotor, and reduce wear on rotor disks. Additionally, their strategic mass enhances rotor inertia, preserving the motor’s kinetic energy input—ensuring consistent impact force even during peak loads.

3. Bottom Grates (Size Control & Wear Resistance)

Bottom grates act as the final size-control barrier, preventing shredded metal from exiting the processing zone until it meets the desired particle size. These components endure extreme abrasion and repeated impacts from fast-moving scrap, making durability a top priority. For optimal performance, we recommend replacing bottom grates alongside anvils and breaker bars—ensuring uniform wear and consistent processing results.

4. Liners (Internal Shredder Protection)

6. Breaker Bars & Anvils (Impact Reinforcement)

  • Breaker Bars: Reinforce the shredder’s internal structure, absorbing and dispersing the high-impact forces generated by hammers striking metal scrap.
  • Anvils: Serve as the initial impact surface for feedstock, guiding scrap into the processing zone and working in tandem with hammers to initiate size reduction. Both components are engineered for extreme wear resistance, ensuring long-term reliability.

7. Reject Doors (Unshreddable Material Removal)
